Children & Youth Ministries Update - Kristin Flippen, Assistant Youth Director

"He..who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be the glory in the Church..."  (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Jackie Coburn - Children's Ministry Coordinator

Children's Ministry is growing! Over the years God has filled our pews at Grace with families and our congregation with men and women who are gifted to serve. Jackie Coburn is one of those servants. Jackie has  taught our youngest members in Sunday School for many years and been a faithful partner with the Rafiki ministry. She has also spent several years serving on Women's Leadership.

Now, after much prayer and reflection, Jackie has accepted the opportunity to expand her role here at Grace. Beginning in the fall, Jackie will become the coordinator of all Children's Ministry (Sunday school, nursery, children's church, and choir). We are thankful for her willingness to use her gifts and abilities in this new capacity. We look forward to all that God will do through her faithful service.

Megan Trader - Children's Church Coordinator

I am extremely pleased to announce that Megan Trader has accepted the position of Children's Church Coordinator. In her new role, Megan will schedule and recruit volunteers, pray and plan for the ministry as a whole, and work within a larger Children's team to develop a vision for the children here at Grace. Thank you, Megan, for being willing to serve the body in such an important way!

Ways to Be Part of the Action

The Youth Ministries Team is looking for 4-6 volunteers to help provide snacks for youth group this year. If you love to bake or just love to shop the cookie and chip aisle at the grocery store, we would be thrilled to have you on the team! Sharing food is a wonderful, simple way to show your love for our amazing kids here at Grace.

We are continuing to gather materials for the middle and high school youth groups. We are hoping for the following games, though any large group "party" game would be welcome: Balderdash, Scattergories, Taboo, Guesstures, Farkel, Quiddler, Scribbish.  The games do not need to be brand new; we only ask that they contain all of their pieces and the instructions.
