Missions Weekend: March 6-7, 2010

Mission to the Valley

A Missions Conference weekend highlighting some of the regional missions that we support through our Blue Ridge Presbytery.

Saturday evening at Grace, March 6, 7:30 p.m.

Dessert Fellowship - Jacinto Hernandaz, Pastor for Hispanic Ministries of Aliznza Covenant in Harrisonburg will be speaking to us.

Sunday morning, March 7

Adult Sunday School - John Pearson will highlight the work of missions throughout our Blue Ridge Presbytery.

Worship (8:30 and 11:00) - Essen Daley, Pastor of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Waynesboro will be preaching. Tabernacle began as a church plant of Covenant PCA in Harrisonburg.

2009 Peru Mission Trip

Trujillo, Peru April 11-18, 2009

Volunteers from Grace and Reformed University Fellowship at W&L co-labored with Peru Mission and the Holy Spirit to continue God's call to in establish Christian communities that are molded, shaped, and propelled by the Gospel. Through pastoral ministry, relief work, leadership training, university ministry, parish day-schools, and economic development, the Lord is building strong, vibrant parish churches that are not only becoming self-sustaining and self-propagating, but also actively involved in bringing God's justice, mercy, and peace to the world around them.

Missions Weekend: September 13-14, 2008

A special weekend in which Rev. Wes Baker, from Peru Missions, joined us. Review the weekend in photos. Hear Wes' sermon and challenge to us.

Wes' responsibilities at the mission include teaching at the Seminary in Trujillo and mentoring ministerial candidates and church planters. He is also the Assistant Editor of Publications. He and his wife, Jami, have seven children.
