Missions Weekend Update

Missions Weekend - February 5-6, 2011

Our focus was local missions.  A panel of Young Life leaders and Steve Rawls, Young Life Area Director, spoke at a church dessert on Saturday evening, and a panel of RUF and Navigator alumni from W&L and VMI respectively spoke during Adult Education hour on Sunday morning.  The Rev. Missions Weekend - March 6-7, 2010

Our focus was regional missions, especially new church developments underway within the Blue
Ridge Presbytery.  Rev. Jacinto Hernandez spoke at a church dessert on Saturday night (see photo's here), and the Rev. Essen Daley lead Sunday worship (listen to sermon here).

2009 Peru Mission Trip

 Trujillo, Peru April 11-18, 2009 

Volunteers from Grace and Reformed University Fellowship at W&L co-labored with Peru Mission and the Holy Spirit to continue God's call to in establish Christian communities that are molded, shaped, and propelled by the Gospel. Through pastoral ministry, relief work, leadership training, university ministry, parish day-schools, and economic development, the Lord is building strong, vibrant parish churches that are not only becoming self-sustaining and self-propagating, but also actively involved in bringing God's justice, mercy, and peace to the world around them.

Missions Weekend: September 13-14, 2008 

Our focus was international missions.  Rev. Wes Baker, from Peru Missions, joined us. Review the weekend in photos.  Hear Wes' sermon and challenge to us.

Wes' responsibilities at the mission include teaching at the Seminary in Trujillo and mentoring ministerial candidates and church planters.  He is also the Assistant Editor of Publications.  He and his wife, Jami, have seven children.
