Opportunities to Grow and Serve in 2011-2012

Grace offers may ways to serve and grow in Christ Jesus. 

SERVING THE BODY

MINISTRY MEALS - There are times when members of our church need some extra care, such as times of illness, transition, new baby, etc.  What a blessing to receive a meal(s) provided with love. Would you be willing to be called on occasionally to be such a blessing? 

VMI Adopt-A-Rat and NAVIGATOR MINISTRY—We are blessed with many cadets who attend our church, are "adopted" by Grace families during their Rat year, and/or are involved in the weekly Wednesday Navigator Bible Study.  

MUSIC MINISTRY – Do you have a desire to share your gift of music to help during Worship at Grace?  Would you like to be on a Music Worship Team?  

NURSERY VOLUNTEER - Nursery Care is provided during Sunday School and the 11:00 Worship Service for our little ones up to age 4.  Do you have a love for children and a desire to serve them and their parents on a rotating schedule?  

CHILDREN'S CHURCH - Children's Church meets during the 11:00 worship service, and volunteers are needed to teach once every 6-8 weeks.  Would you be willing to spend valuable time teaching young ones about God and leading a holy life?

REFRESHMENTS AT COFFEE HOUR - Snacks and Coffee are offered following the 11:00 Worship Service to provide an opportunity for further  fellowship together. Would you be willing to offer hospitality to your church family in this manner once every 3-4 months?

BIBLE STUDY & FELLOWSHIP GROUPS

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY - This year’s study will be a wonderful and faith growing time together as we study the books of Hosea and II Corinthians - "Risking All for Love."  This year will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 6 from 9:45 –11 a.m. at the church, with a Fellowship time (refreshments, of course!) and an introduction of the study. Following the intro, we will meet Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11.  Nursery care is provided.

SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDIES - In September, a number of small group Bible Studies will get underway.  There are a perfect place to grow in your faith and build strong community with some of your Grace Family.  

GRACE DINNER GROUPS - A fantastic opportunity for great fellowship and  food with others in your Church Family.  Groups of 10-12 (married, single, young and old) get together several times during the year in each other’s homes to enjoy a meal with one another.

PRAYER GROUPS - A number of groups meet regularly to pray for various aspects of ministry at Grace and beyond.  You are welcome to come to any prayer group at any time.
