Women's Spring Day Retreat - February 26

 Women's Spring Retreat - 2011

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace." James 3:17-18

The Women’s Spring Day Retreat was held on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at Kendal in Lexington.  Over 60 participated and heard Susan Cunningham speak on finders keepers: find your voice, lose your fear, be kept by Love.

Retreat Message

  • creativity and beauty of the well-timed word
  • fear & the loss of voice
  • hope & the presence of Love

To be human means at least two things:  we have been given a voice with which to speak and we will be given opportunities to say important things. As women we face particular barriers to being heard. Often fear keeps us from finding our voice or having the wisdom to use it well. There is beauty in every moment a woman uses her God-given voice to say what has been given to her to say in the way only she can say it. We will look at the lives of women in the scriptures who illustrate this courageous love and learn wisdom for our own relationships.
