Preparing for a Night of Worship

As we approach the holiday season, our time and hearts get pulled in many directions.
Thoughts gravitate to family, thankfulness, and gifts and all the things we want to get done in preparation to celebrate.
Let us take time to remember The Lord, the true Giver of all good gifts.
Come sing and celebrate with hearts focused on praising Him who gives us hope and a reason to be thankful.

Preparing to Hear God's Word

Reflection on God’s Word: “WAIT ON HIS MERCY”

Scripture Passage: Jude 21  (Learn More)
…keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.

Preparing to Sing God's Praises

“This Is Amazing Grace”  (Listen)
Who breaks the power of sin and darkness,
Whose love is mighty and so much stronger?
The King of Glory, the King above all kings.

Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder
And leaves us breathless in awe and wonder?
The King of Glory, the King above all kings.

Chorus  This is amazing grace, this is unfailing love,
That You would take my place, that You would bear my cross.
You laid down Your life That I would be set free.
Oh, Jesus, I sing for all that You've done for me.

Who brings our chaos back into order,
Who makes the orphan a son and daughter?
The King of Glory, the King above all kings.

Who rules the nations with truth and justice,
Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance?
The King of Glory, the King above all kings.  (Chorus)

Bridge   Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave!
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave!
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave!
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!
             Worthy, worthy, worthy!  (Chorus)

“I Am Jesus’ Little Lamb”  (Listen)

I am Jesus’ little lamb, ever glad at heart I am;
For my Shepherd gently guides me, knows my need, and well provides me,
Loves me every day the same, even calls me by my name.

Day by day, at home, away, Jesus is my staff and stay.
When I hunger, Jesus feeds me, into pleasant pastures leads me;
When I thirst, He bids me go where the quiet waters flow.

Who so happy as I am, even now the Shepherd’s lamb?
And when my short life is ended, by His angel host attended,
He shall fold me to His breast, there within his arms to rest.

“All Creatures of Our God and King”  (Listen)
All creatures of our God and King, lift up your voice and with us sing
O praise Him, alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,  thou silver moon with softer gleam,
O praise Him, O praise Him, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Thou rushing wind that art so strong,  ye clouds that sail in heav'n along,
O praise him, alleluia!
Thou rising morn, in praise rejoice,  ye lights of evening, find a voice,
O praise Him, O praise Him, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Let all things their Creator bless, and worship him in humbleness,
O praise him, alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son, and praise the Spirit, three in one.
O praise Him, O praise Him, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

“His Mercy is More”  ((Listen)

What love could remember no wrongs we have done
Omniscient all knowing He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father so tender is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest the vilest the poor
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

Chorus  Praise the Lord His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment His life was the cost
We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many His mercy is more (Chorus x2)
